Top 10 Winnie the Pooh Story Books

Reading a good Winnie The Pooh storybook is one of the things that I have cherished the most about being a parent. The Hundred Acre Wood is such an awesome place, filled with iconic and memorable characters that have captivated kids and big kids alike for the better part of a century at this point!

I have loved reading the adventures of Pooh and all his friends with my kids over the years and today I am sharing with you the 10 books that the kids (and me too) have loved reading over the years.

Best Loved Winnie The Pooh Stories

We start this list off with a real classic. This Best Loved Winnie The Pooh Stories is a collection of eight classic Winnie The Pooh stories. Winnie The Pooh & Some Bees, Piglet Meets A Heffalump, Kanga & Baby Roo Come To The Forest and An Expedition to the North Pole are the stories that my eldest wanted to be read over and over again.

Each story is brought to life with some fantastic artwork. If you are more of a fan of the old school style of Winnie The Pooh, you are going to really love this book. It is perfect for bedtime reading with your kids.

Winnie The Pooh & Friends: Piglet Does A Very Grand Thing

My youngest loved any Winnie The Pooh storybook that Piglet was the star of so Winnie The Pooh & Friends: Piglet Does A Very Grand Thing has to be on the list. Piglet is an adorable little character. In this book, Piglet and Pooh go and visit some of their best friends in The Hundred Acre Wood.

It is a very nice day until they go to owls and the house ends upside down! Can Piglet be the one to save the day? This is a lovely little story that shows you can still be very brave even if you are very small just like Piglet is.

Disney Baby Play-A-Sound – Head To Toe!

If you have younger children and want a more interactive kind of book, Disney Baby Play-A-Sound – Head To Toe! Is perfect. The baby versions of the Winnie The Pooh characters are so cute it should be illegal! This book makes sounds, but the artwork is so cute that you do not mind when your child presses the Piglet button for the 476th time!

This is a fun book that teaches them about the world around them. Also, the book being interactive is pretty cool and will help your child see just how much fun reading can be. For younger kids, this book is perfect.

Winnie The Pooh & Friends: Piglet Meets A Heffalump

We actually have this story in a few different collections, buy my eldest always insisted on reading the book that just has the Piglet Meets A Heffalump story in it! Which is fine as Piglet is awesome. I really like how being brave and standing up for yourself is a common theme in any Winnie The Pooh storybook that Piglet is the star of.

In this book as the title suggests, Piglet comes across a scary Heffalump! However, Piglet learns that you should not always judge a book by its cover. This is a lovely story and one I did not mind reading on an almost nightly basis for a month straight!

Winnie the Pooh 5-Minute Stories

This is a really awesome collection of fun Winnie The Pooh stories. If your kids prefer the more modern look of Winnie The Pooh and the rest of the folks from The Hundred Acre Wood. Winnie the Pooh 5-Minute Stories is perfect. The idea here is that it is a collection of 12 short stories that are perfect to read each night just before bedtime.

Kids will love this book and it is great in that the stories are nice and easy to read. So you can start by reading to them and then eventually they will be able to read these stories to you.

Tigger’s breakfast

How did we get this far down the list and not have a Tigger book on here? Tigger really is a delightful fellow and you have to wonder what does a Tigger like to have for breakfast? Well, we follow Tigger as he talks to his best friends in The Hundred Acre Wood as he tries to figure out what the best thing to have for breakfast is.

What is really nice about this Winnie The Pooh storybook is not just that Tigger is the focus, but it is also done with the classic Winnie The Pooh art style which I know many of you guys love.

Pooh and Friends: A Touch and Feel Book

Next up we have another book for younger readers. This is a board book that features Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet and all the rest of the characters that you and your child love. It is very interesting that they did a book that is aimed at younger kids in the classic Pooh style, but it works very well.

While there is a fun story about walking through the Hundred Acre Wood here to read. It is the fact that each page has something nice and different for your child to touch. It is hard to explain, but this is a very soothing kind of book for you to read to your child.

Winnie The Pooh: How Are You Feeling?

Any Winnie The Pooh storybook that has a nice message to it is a winner in my book. Winnie The Pooh: How Are You Feeling? Is a book that I have read with my kids many times. A book about feelings and being nice to people is always a winner and this lovely book deals with that very well.

It has different tabs for your child to pull so they can interact with it as you are reading it to them. This is a fun book with a very nice and heartfelt kind of message.

Pooh’s Honey Trouble

We all know that Pooh more often than not has a rumbly in his tumbly, but this book sees him get in some real trouble. Go on a journey with Pooh as he tries to find some honey to help put his rumbly tumbly to sleep.

This is done in the modern Winnie the Pooh style so that is pretty cool. This is a book that is quite funny and it also has different things for your child to touch and feel. So, it also is quite interactive too.

Winnie The Pooh & Friends: Eeyore Has A Birthday

We finish up our list with another book from the Winnie The Pooh & Friends series. This time Eeyore is taking centre stage as we find out it is his birthday. My eldest daughter always had such a soft spot for Eeyore and seeing her be so concerned about him in this story was so adorable.

While it is Eeyore’s birthday, no one seems to remember which makes him sad. Do not worry though as everything works out in the end and he sees just how much his friends care about him.

If you are looking for a great Winnie The Pooh storybook, you really cannot go wrong with any book on this list. No matter if it is a compilation or a stand-alone story, you will find the perfect book for storytime on this list.
